Hello!
I teach Algebra 1! I grew up in Pineville, Kentucky. I got my degree at Asbury University. I became a teacher because I love learning. I love watching students understand something that has always been difficult for them brings me joy. I am new to Hill City! But in the short time I've been here I have felt welcomed into the tight knit Ranger community. Sometimes in education we can prioritize scores and data over people. I'm learning that Hill City keeps kids true learning as their number one goal. I have a husband named Seth and grew up in Rimrock Highway. So moving here three years ago felt a bit like a coming home. We have four kids all here at Hill City Schools - Addie (12), Noah (11), Ella (8), and Millie (6). When I came into town for my interview I saw a small group of high school students on the last day of school walking back with a teacher from Turtle Town eating ice cream cones. I knew then that this small, caring community was going to be the right fit for me and my family.
