Salutations!

 

My name is Jeremiah Letournea. I teach personal finance, digital media technology, Algebra 2 Essentials, business computer applications, technical math, and rock climbing. I grew up in northern Minnesota in a small town with less than one hundred people. This means Hill City is 8 times larger than the town I grew up in. I graduated from Winona State University with a Bachelor of science and mathematics, with an emphasis in secondary education in mathematics. I became a teacher to help disadvantaged kids have equal access to education and to be a person that they can identify with and learn to be successful outside of school. I love the rigor, the excellence, the pride, as well as the hard-working ethic of our students. I am on the Hill City Volunteer Fire Department, and I work as a wildland firefighter for the United States Department of Agriculture, and I will be assisting in coaching middle school track and field. The most memorable thing about Hill City is getting to work with Smokey every single day.
