Course Description

Physical Education

Physical Education is part of general education and it is directed and centered on the total well-being of the student. It is important for the development of physical, social and mental skills. The skills obtained from the physical education environment will allow the student to develop an attitude, which will prepare him/her for a lifelong pursuit of being physically fit.

PE Rules & Expectations

  1. Listen and follow directions- do what you are expected to do when you are expected to do it.
  2. Stay on taskwhether you are waiting for your turn in line or performing each skill.
  3. Respect those around you- your teacher and fellow 
  4. Participate to the best of your ability- 100% effort, 100% of the time.
Students who do not follow these rules and expectations will receive consequences for their actions. Consequences include the following: warnings, time outs and office referrals.

We played golf last week this week we are playing Hockey.
Next week is free week any activity that we have played so far this year.
Tuesday May 23 is track and field day come and enjoy your student participating in many activities.

Jump Rope For Heart is coming to our school!  We are proud to collaborate with the American Heart Association in fighting heart disease and stroke. During this program, your kids will learn about their heart and how to develop healthy habits and have the opportunity to raise funds. We want our kids and our community to take action to prevent heart disease TODAY! Go online at heart.org/jump (or heart.org/hoops) to get started today Jump rope for heart will be April 9th -13th in the Gins Gym. This is our 18th year helping the American heart association.  The Students will Receive their Envelopes on Friday March 31st The envelopes will be due on Thursday April 13th if you have any questions please contact Mrs. Swanson.
