K - 5th Physical Education

Course Description

Physical Education

Physical Education is part of general education and it is directed and centered on the total well-being of the student. It is important for the development of physical, social and mental skills. The skills obtained from the physical education environment will allow the student to develop an attitude, which will prepare him/her for a lifelong pursuit of being physically fit.

PE Rules & Expectations

  1. Listen and follow directions- do what you are expected to do when you are expected to do it.
  2. Stay on taskwhether you are waiting for your turn in line or performing each skill.
  3. Respect those around you- your teacher and fellow 
  4. Participate to the best of your ability- 100% effort, 100% of the time.
Students who do not follow these rules and expectations will receive consequences for their actions. Consequences include the following: warnings, time outs and office referrals.

Week 14 (November 28th - December 2nd)

This week in Elementary PE we will be doing a variety of scooter activities.

Week 13 (November 21st - 22nd)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!   This week in PE we will be doing Thanksgiving activities!   

Week 10 (October 31st - November 4th)

This week in Elementary PE we will be back in the climbing wall, lifting weights and riding elliptical/exercise bikes.

Week 9 (October 24th-28th)

This week in PE is FREE WEEK.  The students will choose any of the activities we have done in the last 8 weeks to do again this week.

Week 8 (October 17th-21st)

This week we will be working on football drills and skills, which include (but not limited to): 
  • passing
  • receiving
  • punting
  • kicking
  • hiking
  • ball carrying
 

Week 7 (October 11th-14th)

Card Game Relay
 
may include but include but not limited to:
  • matching
  • adding
  • teamwork

Week 5 September 26th

This week we will be on the climbing wall, lifting weights and using Elliptical / exercise bikes.
